James is a long time math professor at MJC and this show celebrates his 50th year here. As James explains: “In this day of digital photography using vintage Leica film cameras and lenses provides an "old school" look to the iconic images that define Modesto. It is often about the out of the way scenes that we pass by daily without seeing. My effort to capture images of the past and present gave me a new perspective of Modesto, one that I would like to share with others.”

The Artist Reception will be held on Thursday, February 15th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The artist will speak around 6:00pm and light refreshments will be served.

The MJC Art Gallery is always free and sponsored by the MJC Art department. If you'd like to make a tax deductive donation please see a gallery volunteer or you may call the Arts Division Office at 209.575.6081 or email Jacquelin at wingettj@mjc.edu
